We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Dr. Juliet Daniel, Ph.D, a visionary leader, scientist, and founding Director of The Canadian Multicultural LEAD Organization for Mentoring & Training.

A Life of Scientific Excellence
Dr. Daniel was an internationally respected Professor and cancer biologist at McMaster University, whose groundbreaking research advanced understanding of aggressive cancers, including triple-negative breast cancer. Beyond her scientific achievements, she was a tireless advocate for equity in science and a champion for underrepresented communities.
Her legacy extends far beyond the lab. Dr. Daniel dedicated her life to mentoring and uplifting youth and young adults—particularly Black students pursuing careers in science, technology, engineering, and medicine. She co-founded initiatives and programs that opened doors, built confidence, and created pathways for the next generation of leaders.

A Lasting Legacy at LEAD
As a founding Director of The LEAD Organization, Dr. Daniel helped shape a community grounded in mentorship, empowerment, and opportunity. Her unwavering belief in young people's potential continues to guide and inspire our work today.
Dr. Daniel will be remembered for her brilliance, generosity, and deep commitment to community. Her impact lives on in the countless lives she touched—as a mentor, educator, and friend.
